Woodland Management – let us maximise your woodlands potential. We can draw up woodland management plans and apply for felling/thinning licenses on your behalf and carry out the proposed work.
Coppicing- a lot of people are recognising the value of this traditional form of woodland management and has been used for years in forestry. The principle is that you harvest shoots from the stool or stump from a cut down tree, this can produce more round wood for hedge laying (thick stakes) beanpoles (thin sticks) and straight ones for hurdles. Firewood can also be sourced from a neglected coppice. Chestnut and Hazel is great for coppicing because larger dimensions are not highly valued. Coppicing also allows a good habitat for wildlife within a woodland.
